Over 3,000 feet of 28 foot span arched culvert was required for the new Green Valley Crossing Shopping Center. As always, speed of construction was very important. The Hydro-Arch culvert system had production rates of 90 feet per day. However, the speed of construction was governed by the excavation. Almost the entire excavation had to be blasted through rock.

A cold spell for several weeks required thermal insulating blankets and space heaters for properly curing the concrete arch. Optimizing arch thickness for different amounts of fill, up to 33 feet, resulted in significant cost savings.
